Policies & Procedures

Registration – The registration fee for one child is $25 per year. Registration is paid during school year sign-up.

Tuition - Monthly tuition is based on a four-week month. No additional charges will incur for those months with extra class days. Therefore, there will be no pro-rating tuition for times the studio is closed for holidays or other reasons. Please refer to our year calendar for a complete list of studio closures.

Late Fee – A$10 late fee will be added to your account if tuition is not received by your chosen payment date each month.

Payment Options – Classical Ballet Academy accepts personal checks, VISA, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. If paying with cash, please give exact change—we do not keep change on hand. Automatic withdrawal can be set up with a credit card, or through savings or checking accounts through Compete Services. (All payments should be received through Compete Services except cash payments.)

Performance Fee –  There will be a $50.00 performance fee for the Intensive Division students only. (Levels 4,5,6,7) The fee is due prior to the performance.  The Performance fee pays for the cost of the theatre, crew, lighting designer and costume maintenance.

Make-Up Classes – Make-up classes are offered as a courtesy, in the class level below your level. Make-ups must be scheduled at the front desk and are done on a first-come, first-serve basis. Make-ups must be done within 30 days from the missed class. CBA does not pro-rate fees or give credit for missed classes.

Time Off – Enrollment carries over automatically from month to month. If you need to take time off or drop your child from class, please fill out a Time Off form and turn it into the front desk 15 days before your payment is due. If we do not receive this notice, you will be responsible for a full month’s tuition, even if your child does not attend class. If your child attends class anytime during a month, you will be charged a full month’s tuition.

Class Transfer – Any changes to your child’s schedule must be done in writing before the last day of the month. All changes will take effect as of the 1st of the next month.

Withdrawal Policy- Notification of any withdrawal must be received in writing 30 days before payment is due.  No exceptions. Withdrawal forms are located in the studio office.  You will be responsible for the monthly fee if we do not receive your form.

Late Pick-Up Policy – Please be prompt when picking up your child. The studio closes promptly at 8:00pm Monday-Thursday, 7:00pm Friday, and immediately after rehearsal on Saturday. The late pick up charge is $1/minute after 10 minutes.

Sibling Discount – There is a 5% discount for any additional family members enrolled in classes.

Dress Code – Students must be in a leotard with hair pulled back. No ponytails. Dancers must be in pink tights and pink leather ballet shoes; boys in a white t-shirt, black shorts or tights, and black ballet shoes.

Audition Policy – All new students may take one placement class. Tuition is for the placement class.

Tardy Policy – Students arriving more than 10 minutes late to a class may have to schedule a make-up. In addition to disrupting class, tardiness can be a safety hazard by missing the warm-up and stretching.

Illness Policy – As a courtesy to others, please do not bring your sick child to class. Intensive Program students must call the office for missed classes or rehearsal.

Friends Policy- We love to have friends attend class and a friend may receive 1 free trial class when attending with a registered student. However, we do require a parent to accompany any minor 15 or under. Minors 17 and under or above, need to have signed waiver forms on file before participation in any class.
